Seriously the network is vital to Northland's economy, and why not have rail tourism on Northland's rails. It has a long history of struggle, slow progress in construction and a lot of men lost their lives making the network possible. It changed Northland for the future growth of the region and those in charge have forgotten that history. It's important we do keep the network ope. I'd love to see a railcar service with a commuter and tourism focus. It would surely be possible as a private enterprise if Kiwirail won't look into it.
